Community Involvment

 Dr. Maria Pujana, a clinical neurologist and neurophysiologist,is a faculty member at Case Western Reserve University’s Center for International Health and Research in the School of Medicine. She is president and owner of Marise Jewelry Designs Co. Fashion jewelry designer for Saks Fifth Avenue. Marisé’s collection has accessorized many prestigious European Designers Fashion  Collections including the “Pasarela Cibeles Fashion Show” in Madrid Spain, for which she has been featured in Vogue, Hola/Hello Magazine, Latina Style, The Plain Dealer, Sun Newspapers, Currents, etc.

Dr. Pujana is a member of the Board of Directors of the Cleveland Foundation (Chair of Advisory Committee for Scholarships), MetroHealth Foundation, The Cleveland Red Cross, and The Beck Center for the Arts, and The Advisory Board of the Cleveland Institute of Art. She has served as the chair of the board of HUMADAOP, as vice president of the council for the Cleveland Ballet, as chair of art and culture for El Barrio, as a member of the community advisory board of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, and as member of the board of the Cuyahoga Community College Foundation.

Dr. Maria Pujana is one of the recipients of the 2009 YWCA Women of Achievement Award.
